====Allow access to attached files in Outlook====

Allow access to attached files in Outlook

Outlook changed its security settings dramatically. You are not allowed to detached executables (.EXE) or other potential “dangerous” files. To allow detaching the files you want follow these steps.

**NOTE:** Always make sure that you have a backup of your current settings.

**NOTE:** Log-on as an administrator

Go to **START** -> **Run** and type in **regedit**

Select **HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\12.0\Outlook\**

**NOTE:** 12.0 can also be 10.0 or other numbers depending on your Office version you are running. In this case Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed.

Make sure you have an entry named **SECURITY**. If not Create it (New -> Key)

Create a new **STRING VALUE** and name it **Level1Remove**.

Now add the extensions you would like to detach
