**Transfer or Reset Windows Profiles**

It is most common that you Windows Profile gets corrupted, or you need to re-install your system or any other profile related scenario. The problem is that you are not able - that is when you are on a domain - to pick up where you left off with your windows settings. So, your background is gone, your program shortcuts are gone, everything has to be installed again. This is very time consuming but there is a way to work around this issue. Here is how:

Now install and run the Wizzard. Select the profile you want to backup. In most cases you could even backup old and forgotten profiles. Let it do its thing. Once it is ready restore the File to the account you like to login with. After restoring, the app will make some adjustments and you should be good to go. 

If you like to remove your old profile (when you do get the messages that Windows can only log you in with a temporary profile) just open regedit and go to:

HKLM
Software
Microsoft
WindowsNT
CurrentVersion
ProfileList

and find the key ending with 1004. Select the key and check where the path of your profile is pointing to. Make an export of this key (just in case) and then delete it. 

Your profile should now be reusable.
