hostnamectl
Display your kernel version
uname -a
Display your Linux version
lsb_release -a
Display your disk and partitions
lsblk
Display information about your CPU
lscpu
List failed logins
lslogins -f
If you like to have a colourful bash, remove eval and alias # in:
.bashrc either in your profile or root/.bashrc
Changing the startup background for Debian, enter the following line in:
nano /etc/default/grub GRUB_BACKGROUND="/root/pictures/grubbackground.png"
